Since 1914 Ridout Plastics has served the world with plastics materials and manufacturing services. The Greater San Diego Chamber of Commerce awarded Ridout Plastics "Small Business of the Month" in February, 1992. The U.S. Small Business Administration awarded the company San Diego's 1995 Family-Owned Small Business of the Year in May 1995. Ridout Plastics was a finalist in Bank of America's Enterprise Awards in August, 1995. We have also helped several customers win awards for their products. We are San Diego's plastics industry leaders in quality, service, employment, and sales. Locally owned and operated unlike many nationwide plastic companies with ownership outside the USA. We have a real 40,000 SF "Brick & Mortar" business here supporting our web presence - and we've been selling plastics and accessories on the internet since 1995! But...Plastics in 1914? Yes! Originally known as the Rench Co., we sold plastic numbers and letters from cellulose back then. My grandfather purchased items from Rench back in the 1920's (he came to San Diego in 1910). Later, the Ridout family purchased and renamed the company in the 1950's. Our family purchased the company in 1967 and kept the name - as everyone knew: For Plastics, go to Ridout Plastics! We're family owned for over 40 years and 3 generations.
